I feel that what I have do in Media Literacy is relevant to my life. It can let me know that not all websites are reliable and we must look from different sources so as to understand about the incident and to give a summary that other people will feel like we had experience it. If we did not get the true information, not only our research will not be reliable but we will also have the wrong understanding of somethings. This may make us think that Internet is unreliable and stop to do research by using Internet, which can easily find out information on what we want.

I feel that what i do in Media Literacy is relevant to my life.As technology is getting better and better everyday,we must learn how to protect ourselves when using the net. Most of the people nowadays use computers the most of the time,be it doing work,or playing games. If not, many of us would fall prey to the hazards in the world wide web.Personally,i think that to educate people with media literacy is not really easy as most people do not think that the internet is dangerous and always have this mindset that it is safe.We would have to know how to sense what is safe and what is not, because nowadays most things do not comply to the phrase "Seeing is believing".

In my opinion, I fell that knowing about identities is more important than any other thing we find on the Internet. Sometimes, fraudsters and other cheaters lie in wait for prey. We must not be fooled by them into giving our personal information and other sensitive things that may rid us of our money and other precious things. Technically speaking, many people on the Internet are actually faking their own identities, to avoid cheaters. In this way, we can see that the Internet is quite an unreliable place with all the cheaters and fakers prowling around the Internet. In my experience, I almost got cheated when I saw a website promising free cash if they buy certain things lesser than the cash they are going to give. In my disgust, I saw that the products are way more expensive than the cash they are going to give!

I feel that Media Literacy is revelant to my life as it teaches me how to be more careful on the internet. We should not give out any personal information on the internet...etc.(address,age,telephone and hand phone numbers...)Not only should we not give out
our real identity,we should also be more apprehensive of people who we meet
on the internet and see who the person really is.If we want to buy something online,we
should ensure that the person who is selling the item can be trusted before buying the product.
    We should always remember:
"Things aren't always what they seems..."

I think it is relevant to my life because using the net for surfing, blogging, even for homework or studies, most people will use the internet.Internet is a very helpful source for doing projects and homework. But we need to be very careful while using it.Example, some of the resources are not true.We have to do some analisation on how to differentiate the true and false sources. One way of doing it is doing the 3Cs test, the credibility, consistency & collorabation test. The other way is to check whether is it a trusted site.once you do either of these 2 checks, you could safely surf the internet without worries!

I feel that media literacy is relevant to my life as it helps us to learn about what is correct and what is wrong from the internet world. Without media literacy, we will not be able to verify what is correct and what is wrong, but we have to verify the sources we see on the internet. If not, we will be cheated out of money, time and other more valuable things. We should always double check on the sources ,the people we are chatting to and the seller ( if selling clothes online).

I think what I am doing in Media Literacy is relevant to my life. It is relevant because we are targeted. People on the internet are trying to scam us. We as netizens must try to avoid these dangers and not to get caught in their traps.

As I am on the internet often and on chat websites like Friendster and Facebook, I might be targeted. As these sites are about making friends whom we do not know, we must not be so trustworthy of them. Hence, what I am learning in Media Literacy is relevant in my life.

Whatever my friends and I do or say or think about this topic, it has a real effect on our lives. Nothing we can do can stop it but, we can prevent it. I can conclude that Media Literacy is relevant to my life as it helps me prevent myself from falling into their traps and becoming a victim. As the saying goes, Prevention is better than cure.

I think media literacy is relevent to my life as it teaches me to check if the information is true and also teaches me how to be more careful on the internet. It is very useful when we are surfing the internet, blogging and even for school work. Example, some of the resources may not be true. So, we can do some analisation to check if it is true. If not, we may get cheated.

I think media literacy is very relevant to my life. It teaches me to look carefully at the information to check if it is true or not. It is very relevant for things that is related to blogging or information in the Internet. Take for example, finding information on the Internet for research. Some of the information given could be a fraud. So, this phrase applies for those things I have learnt in the Media Literacy lessons:"Seeing is not really believing."

As technology is getting more advance,we must be careful when using the net. Media Literacy also taught me that not everything that you see on the net are true, we may get cheated if we are not careful enough. And, we should not give out personal information about us to anybody online.

I think that Media Literacy is relevent to m life.Technology is getting more and more advanced this days, therefore,we must be wary of what we are doing on the net and never ever give out our personal information.By taking Media Literacy lessons, I now know that what we all see, be it on the net or on magazines, the pictures are always edited before being posted on the net or printed out on the magazine cover page. Most people would say "seeing is believing" but after taking lesson, i know that seeing is not really believing. what we see is not always the truth.

I felt that media literacy is important to us. We may tell others that those magazines' cover's models are so called 'faked'. The models are edited by the people. I will not believe those covers' models anymore. After we learn about these, we could even tell our family members and teach them about this!:]

I feel that media literacy is very important to us. It teaches us about 'fake' magazine covers and websites and warns us about them. I am also sure that in the later media literacy lessons, we can learn more shocking news. By learning these , we can also tell others about the things and warn them about it.

I think that the things taught in Media Literacy are very relevant in my life as we student normally use the information on the internet to do our projects or any other school works. So, if our resources are not reliable, we will get the wrong information and we will learn the wrong things. So, to prevent this from happening, we should go to a reliable website to search for our information. I also learn that we should not give out our personal information like our address, contact number etc. to anyone we meet on the net whether we know or don’t know them.

I think what we are taught in Media Literacy are relevant to my life as we get to know that resources on the Internet are not all reliable. If we are not taught Media Litercy, we will not get to verify what is true and what is false. . We have also learnt that the photos of models on the cover page of magazines are edited. People edited the photos to make the models have a "wonderful body shape". They do so as to make readers think that they can have that "wonderful body shape" too. After the first few lessons, we learnt not to be so silly to believe what we see on magazines and on the internet.

i think that what we are taught in media literacy are relevant to my life as it teaches me to be vigilant while surfing the net as what we see on the internet may not be exactly true. During Media lessons we are being taught how to differentiate between true and false information. We ought to be more careful when using the internet and should get information from a website that you trust or think is reliable. We should not reveal our personal information or particulars in case people with bad intention gets hold of them.Pictures of a model with a perfect figure or a rare scenary that you see may not be true although they seem to be real as they can be altered and edited with the modern technology to achieve what the image that the photographers want so as to attract people to buy.Merchants selling slimmming pills also make use of the advanced technology to alter the figure of models to prove that their products work and can be trusted. Hence what we see or the information we get from the internet may not be as reliable as they seem to be.

I tink the things dat are taught in media literacy lss are relavant to my life as it teaches me bout' how to prevent myself frm falling into traps when surfing the net. It is thus important for us to be able to differentiate between the true and false facts. We should also not reveal our real identity and particulars like our credit card no., password for any important account,etc.. If we had gave out our particulars to strangers, others may have motive of asking for your particulars and now everyone is facing the economic crisis, we certainly do not want to give others 'free' money, by then u would had realised that the person whom you had gave those particulars had taken the money from your bank account without you realising it. And most importantly, we must not be tricked by the pictures of models in magazines or in the net and thought of being as good-looking as them, as you never know if their pictures had undergone photoshopping to make themselves look perfect to attact ppl to buy the magazine. Therefore, we must be know what are we reading and looking at and knowing whether the source is reliable and trustable as the outcome may not be as what we expected.

I feel that media literacy skills are really very important lifelong skills as we can learn not to believe in whatever we see or hear on the internet as it might be fake.
Take for example, Online Messenger Chat.
It might be someone old and bald with no teeth chatting with a young and talented girl.
Most people believe that the internet produces reliable and valuable information.
But the information that the internet produces might not be true. Even online search engines are getting more and more unreliable.
So as media literacy ambassodors, we should really try to encourage people not to believe whatever you see on the internet which you think it might be true but it is not true at all.

I think that media literacy is quite relevant to us as everyday, we are all using media at any place, any time and any where. But what we hear might not be very true. We cannot trust any information from any source unless the source is from the government. Although almost everyone thinks that everything from media are real and not false, we cannot always follow their steps as one day, they might fall into a dangerous trap and cannot be made up again.

Instead, there are now a lot of people getting tricked by the false information given by people who want to play tricks on everyone. Sometimes, we cannot keep saying that everything on the Internet are fake. There are also some information that is true like the 911 incident and the Si Chuan 8.1 magnitude earthquake. Anyway, information on the internet may be true but it is not...

  27. I think media literacy is relevant to us since we are using media literacy everyday, everywhere. In order to obtain information about something we need, we would need to use media literacy. Whether or not we believe that the sources we find in the internet is useful, true and not false depends on where we obtain the sources from. Also depending the 'poster' who is the person who post up the sources.
Here comes the true or false identity. We should be aware of people in the chatroom and the person we are chatting with. To conclude all, I think that media literacy is relevant in our life and we should be aware of people we are chatting nd communicate to so we would not fall into traps setted by bad people who wants to trick you.

I feel that what I have done in Media Literacy is relevant to my life. I feel that media literacy skills are really very important as we can learn not to believe in whatever we see or hear on the internet as it might be fake. Eg.
It is proved that some of the information in Wkipedia is fake and if we did not get the true information, not only our research will not be reliable but we will also have the wrong understanding of somethings and so, we must also find information from other sources( google, yahoo.etc) when we are doing researches or looking for information.

Also, take for example, the Online Messenger Chat.It might be a middle-aged man, posing asa young handsome man, chatting msn with a young girl. Most people believe that the internet produces reliable and valuable information.
But the information that the internet produces might not be true. So, we must be cautious and not to give internet friends too much information of yourself.

Some of them might even be totally fake. I also learnt from the Media Literacy lessons not to believe whatever I see or hear in the Internet. For example, most people say that the infromation that they get from Wikipedia are not all true because the infromation can be edited by anyone and some people even fake their identity by saying that they are professors so that people will believe whatever they write on Wikipedia. I aslo heard that some people that they fake their identities in the online messenger chat. It is because they want perosnal infromation from you. So, i believe that we must be careful when giving out personal infromation to strangers we meet in the Internet.

I used the informations from the internet most of the time. I trusted most of the information and believed that they were true, but now I know that some of the informations in the internet are fake and cannot be trusted. Now, before I adapt any information from the internet, I will think twice and check different websites to ensure that the information are true. I had also learnt that chat rooms are not very safe, I have to be careful of strangers in the chat rooms and never to give anyone my personal information even if it is someone I know. After the Media Literacy lessons, I had learnt that not everyone information I read and see to the internet are real. Some of them might be edited and being posted on the internet. Now-a-days students are relying on this information on the internet for research and projects, hence I feel that they should learn to check if the information they are searching are real.
We should also not leak out personal information of ourselves on the internet, whether on our blogs or to some strangers you chatted with in online chat room. We should also not post our pictures on the internet too.
