  1. If I were asked to do a newscast,I would use simple grammer so that kids or adults who are not very good in english can understand what i am saying.I will also add in some nice music when i am not speaking so that the audience will not be bored to tears.I might also put up some interesting pictures or videos that are related to the news that i am casting.Last of all,I should see the screen as often as i can or the audience will get tired if they keep seeing my hair.

  2. I will try to make it simpler for more people to understand and have subtitles in English in case they cannot figure out what I am saying. I can also add in music for the opening and commercial break so it can attract viewers' attention. I will face the audience often and have interesting pictures too.

  3. I would try to add some simple grammars but some vocabulary to the broadcasting. As many people are watching the news, they would need simple English to understand more easily. Why I wanted to add some vocabulary into the broadcasting is because many people are watching the news to improve on their English.
I might include some relaxing background for them to relax and some interesting pictures for them, but I am certain I am not trying to distact them while they are listening to the broadcast.

  4. I would try to use simple english to express what I want to say.I want to do this because I want people to understand what I am saying.I would add in some interesting pictures to attract them and they would not get bored so easily.I would also speak loudly ,instead of softly so that people would not have any difficulties listening to me talk.I would also add in as much details as possible so that people will know much more information than the other newscasts.I will also be confident when I am talking otherwise, people will think that I am playing and would not take my news seriously, and would not enjoy my newscast.Just by doing all this things,I am sure that people will love to listen to my newscast.

  6. If i was asked to do a newscast,i will try not to add bombastic words as people might not understand.I will also add more pictures so the people watching the news would get a cleare idea of what had happened and will be able to visualise what happened by putting the pictures together. For the subtitles,i will only use english as it might confuse the people watching when they read the subtitles.I might also make the subtitles bigger too.But mostly i would concentrate on putting pictures as a picture tells a thousand words.

  7. If I were to do a anewscast, I would try to make it interesting, but not to use such bombastic words that some people do not understand, in which it would defeat the purpose of what should it do. Pictures can be added for people to understand more about the incident and to ensure that they get the right information. All the information would be based on point form and no part of the news broadcast should be long-winded.

  8. If i were to do a newscast,i think that it should be of a resonable length but yet informative.
Young people like us do not like to listen to long winded stuff.
It should be straight to the point and which people could pick out information.
Visuals like pictures and videos should be added if there are not any.
Things like interviews of people are also good as we could listen to what are the views of other people besides ourselves.

  10. I will try to make the language of my newscast as simple as possible so that the viewers will be able to understand the messages I am trying to convey. I will also add some English and Chinese subtitles so that those who do not understand English very well can still read the subtitles. I will also try to add in some music during the start, commercial and the ending parts of the newscast to make it more interesting. I will also ask the broadcaster to face the camera often so that the viewers will not feel that the broadcaster is not feeling very confidence when reporting the news, causing them to doubt the reliability of the news we are broadcasting on. Besides these, I will also add in some interesting pictures or videos that are related to the news we are broadcasting on. Last but not least, I will interview people about their views on this matter so that the viewers can know other people’s opinions on this matter.

  12. If I were asked to do a newscast, I would use simple English to allow people of all ages to understand what the news is all about. I can also add soft music so that the people watching will not sleep while watching the news. I will also make use of more pictures than words so that the news will be interesting. Maybe, I can crack up some jokes that are related so the audience can have a laugh while watching and not nodding their heads off. Last of all, I can have quiz where the audience can guess the answer if they had watch the news and the answer will be shown after the next commercial break.

  13. If i were to do a newscast, i would try my best not to make it too long winded so that the will not treat it as a "sleeping pill". I would also add in some riddles for the viewers therefore children would be interested in it. I would probably conclude the newscast with a a "song of the week" for teens. This song will cater mainly to the teenagers of this generation.

  14. If I were asked to do a newscast, it would include some humor. This is because mostly newscasts are boring and serious, so some kids might not be interested. But if I do the newscast in a way that they would get the information and get some laughs along the way. So, in this way the kids might want to watch the news more often than not just to get the joke .But they would also get the information on current affairs as the jokes would be related to them. In this way, we are not forcing them to watch a newscast; it is them choosing to watch the newscast.

  16. I would use simple grammar so not only adults but children can understand what I am talking about. I would also try to be confident in speaking so everything would not be in a mess. I will try to look at the camera often so the audience can see me reporting and not only see me looking down at my paper. I would also try to make it more interesting by adding music or pictures that are related to the news report so that the audience would not be bored only listening to me.

I will look confidently at the camara and speak fluently and properly with feelings while reporting. I will add pictures and videos relating to the news so that audience could understand the news more by visual.

  20. If I was doing a newscast, I would get straight to the point and report only relevant information because people may be in a rush to get somewhere and may not have time to listen to the whole newscast, wanting it to keep short and simple. I would use subtitles especially in aid for the people who have hearing disabilities.

  22. If I were to do a newscast, I will use simple vocabulary so that it is easier for the adult and children viewers to understand clearly. I should also not beat about the bush and to get to the main point as viewers would not want to waste time listening to the broadcaster or reporter speak irrelevant things of the news. I will also sit up straight so that I can project my voice in a better way for the viewers to understand what I say and even use subtitles if they could not understand me in some way and subtitles also benefits those with hearing disabilities.

  23. If I was doing a news cast, I would use simple vocabulary to help the understanding of the content better. English and Chinese subtitles would help people having trouble to catch my words. Helping the public understand what is happening is the objective, visuals like pictures or video will help the viewers visualize the scene more clearly. Some music will keep them out of boredom, but must be used at the correct time. It cannot be used when the broadcaster is broadcasting, but only when there is a pause or break. I also have to go straight to the point, to help the viewers pick out the information they want immediately.

  24. If I were to do a newscast, I would use a very captivating background for the reporter and the interviewer. The interviewee would also be in the same background. I would use simple grammar and vocabulary, so that young children can understand what the newscast is all about. Adding more images and videos about the incident or event that had happened. Adding captivating subtitles would also help in making the newscast more attractive. Going straight to the point would let the listeners get the information they want easily.

I would include using subtitles so that people who have hearing disabilities can still understand what the news is about. I would also have some sound effects and pictures so people can visualize what i am talking about and at the same time have a better understanding through the pictures.

  26. If I was doing a newscast, I would ignore the type of vocabulary that I use and concentrate on my body language and the way I present myself. We should not care about our vocabulary except for racist words and words that spread propaganda as children can learn the words and improve their standard of English. Bombastic words can be used as children can learn from the broadcast and widen their vocabulary. I would like to have videos of the actual incident to give a realistic touch to the newscast. This will capture the reader’s attention and make the newscast interesting.

If I were to do a newscast, I would add in elements such as visual effects and also audio effects. I would like to add in visual effects because it makes the newscast looks more professional. I would choose to add in audio effects because the public that is tuning in to the newscast might feel a bit relaxed and feel better after listening to my newscast. There would also be subtitles because it will help most people to understand better what the newscaster is trying to say. The newscaster will speak at an average speed so that the public will not miss out any details during the midst of the newscasting.

  31. If i were to do a newscast,i will use proper and simple english language so that the viewers can understand what i am trying to say. Tha newscastor ought to speak slowly and clearly in order to let the viewers hear and not miss out any important details. The newscastor should face the camera to show that he is professional and also show respect to the viewers. The news being reported should also be short and clear instead of long and boring and dull. Subtitles should also be added to make it easier for the viewers to understand if they cannot catch what the newscastor says.
