  1. I have learnt that the most important about newscasting is the skill of delivering the news to the people watching the news. And when the people listens to the news they wont get bored and will know the main thing of the news. The best way to deliver a speech is to get a script done well and having the reporter to read it over and over again so that the reporter would have a lesser chance of getting tongue-tied as he already read it before. The reporter must also not be nervous as him/her would tend mummer or even start to stutter.

  2. I have learnt that newscasting plays an integral role in bringing up all the important news to the public and for them to be more connected with the world. Even then, a efficient way of brodcasting is definately needed to be effective in its role. The reporter must be confident and there should be also creative ways in which the news is delievered to.

First off its that a newscaster have to be unbiased in his/her reporting. A newscaster have to be uncorrupted and unbiased so that it would not cause a stir or conflicts among the public.
Secondly it is that the message of every newscast have to be clear, short and sweet. The message of the newscast have to be efficient and clear. It must not have any so-called loopholes suggesting anything other than the news.

I have learnt that the most important about newscasting is the skill of delivering the news to the people watching the news so that when the people listens to the news they wont get bored and they will get the main idea of the news. The newscaster must also be unbiased in the reporting. It is also important to have rehearsels before the broadcast so that there will not be errors and the newscaster will not get tongue-tied as he had already read it and rehearsed before. The reporter must also not be nervous so that he would not tend to mummur or even start to stutter. The message of the newscast must also be sweet, simple and straight to the point. It must be clear and not difficult to understand.

  5. i learnt that the most important thing about newscasting is that the broadcaster must not be unbiased in his reporting as it can totally influence people's views on the news. The broadcaster must also be able to convey the messages clearly and properly so that the people will not have any misunderstand on this matter. The reporter must also watched his own conduct as he will be watched at by the whole world, causing even one little mistake to be fatal. Last but not least, there must be some interesting ways in the newscasting to attract the viewers' attention for them to listen to our newcasting.

  7. I learnt that the most important thing in newscasting is how the news is delivered from the scene to the broadcast. Where will we get the information from if no one reports the news to the broadcast? Without this tactic, we will not be able to know what exactly the news is all about. For example the 911 incident. If no one got to witness or take a video of the incident; furthermore the video is taken by a tourist, we will not know what made the buildings to collapse and how it collapsed. So, the tactic for delivering the news to the broadcast is very important, or else there will be no news at all.

  8. I learnt that the most important thing about newscasting is that the broadcaster should be biased in his or her reporting .They must also prepared a neat script and try to pratice reading the script until they are familiar with it,so that they will not make any mistakes when they are reporting it.They should also make the things that they need to say clear and sweet, instead of talking softly to themselves.By speaking softly to themselves, they will make the people who are listening bored .They should also make the news that they are saying interesting so the people who are listening will be attracted to it.The broadcaster should also be confident and must be serious about the news,or else people who are listening will think that they are trying to be funny and will not take the news seriously.

  9. Most importantly, we would need to speak up in order to do a good news broadcast. This is because when you do not speak properly, you would usually mumble which makes your words misunderstandable. Therefore, we would need to speak up, or your news broadcasting would very very boring.
Writing of scripts is also very important. This is because that scripts are used for broadcasters to read. Without a good-written script, broadcasting would also very boring.
Finally, broadcasters must be unbaised. He/she must not make any opinion to influence the listeners.

  10. I have learned that news casting is about accuracy. We must bring the audience accurate information not some kind of random crap.I have also learned that news casting about how you speak. You must sound professional in order for the audience to believe you. If you act too dramatic they might think you are toying with them and not trust you. You must also be simple. What the audience wants is information. They just want to know the point of the newscast, what it is all about. If they want to know the cause of what happened they would go see a documentary. All they want in news is just the main point, no extra information is needed

  11. I have learnt that news casting is providing information to the public, hence the reporters should be biased in their reporting. If not,it would be unfair to the victims who are involved in the incident and they might not be happy.I have also learnt that to make a news cast,we need to have confident and speak well so that the audience could catch the information we are giving. We should also use simple vocabulary words so that the audience would understand.Lastly, smile(sometimes) and look smart in front of the audience.

  12. I have learnt that broadcasting provides information to the public. The information we give to the public which they may not know must be accurate. If it is not accurate, it may cause harm to people. The reporters and broadcasters must not be biased as it may cause the innocents be wronged and the law-breakers be known as the onnocent ones. To make a newscast, we have to be confident, unbiased and speak clearly. We must also try to use simple language to allow people that have little understanding of the language to understand what are we talking about. When we do broadcasting, we should not beat around the bush and should get to the point as some people maybe rushing to work and just want to hear the main point of the news of the day before rushing off. If we beat around the bush, people may lose their interest in listening to the news and feel that reading newspaper is a faster way of getting information.

  13. I have learnt that broadcasting provides information to the public. News reporters should pass the accurate information to the public in order not to harm anyone indirectly.
They should also be unbiased so that it will not affect peoples' views on the information. Broadcasters must be and look confident while reporting the news, they must also speak fluently and properly so that audiences could hear and catch the news correctly. They must be familiar with the scripts, news and information given by witnesses and reporters so the script writers must be able to summarise the whole news and put in the main points which audience wanted to hear. The news brought to the audience must be clear and not too difficult to understand.

  14. I have learnt that broadcasting is important as it provides information for the public. Hence, we should not be unbiased in any of our reportings so that the audience knows that we are not unfair. I have also learnt how to make a news cast. It is not that easy because we have to do research carefully so we are not being unbiased in our news cast. We also have to have confidence when we are speaking so everything wouldn't be a mess and the audience understands what we are talking about.

  15. I have learnt that broadcasting provides information to everybody. Reporters can be biased in their reporting, sometimes causing dispute. The message have to be efficient and easy to understand. To make a newcast, a person must be fluent in his/her languages, we also need to be confident so as to speak well, the most efficient way is to prepare a script. By preparing a script, it would be much easier and everything will go smoothly for most people, and the audience will also not be wondering what are you blabbering about.

  16. Newscast will summarise what had happen for us to absorb. Being unable to be at the scene, we would wonder what happen and newscast will let us understand. Newscaster should and must not be biase with the info they handle and should always not alter the info that the interviewee or witness gave and report it true...
Certainly before an actual newscast is broadcast, they will go through rehearsal and getting familiar with the script they made.

  17. I have learnt that newscasts provide a lot of information, so, the script prepared must be filled with information that is relevant to the topic. Also, the reporter must be unbiased in his/her reporting as being biased will lead to a lot of misunderstandings to people who get the wrong information. The reporter also has to speak clearly and fluently so that people can understand what they say. If the audience does not understand or cannot hear what the reporter says, they will not bother to listen at all.

  18. I learnt a lt from the newscasting lesson. It is essential for us to have newcasting lessons as it allows as to speak proper english and let us know more about the infomation on the topic we doing. It allows us to do research and learn how to cooperate with our team mates. We also learnto write scripts. Scripts are also important as that will be what we are going to say out. I feel that newcasting has benefit us a lot. We must not be biased in our reporting as it will cause troubles.

  21. News helps to bring information of the world to our fingertips. When we report, the information we give must be accurate as possible. The errors must be corrected before it is aired as it will cause misunderstanding to the public. We also have to be confident as we speak, so as to convince the viewers that whatever you said is true. We have to go straight to the point, no extra information is nessecsary.

I have learnt that the newscast has to be designed attractive enough, so that people would watch the newscast.

  24. I have learnt that doing a newscast is not easy at all. Since the newscast is shown country wide, the script prepared before and must be relevent to the topic. The newscast must also not be biased as it may cause a lot of miunderstanding once released to the public. The newscast must be straight to the point as some people may be in a rush. Most inportantly, the newscast must be attractive and interesting to be able to hold on to people's attention.

  26. Through media literacy, I have learnt a lot.
I learnt that it is very important for a newscaster
to be unbiased in his or her reporting. If the
news reporter is biased, its number of viewers
will decrease greatly, as they are unable to trust
this news station again. The newscaster should also
rehearse his or her lines before broadcasting so that
they will familiar with their script, thus less mistakes
will occur. The newscast should be short and sweet
yet contain the necessary information so that the viewer
will not be bored or fall asleep.

  27. What I have learnt from the newscast is that we should be aware of what kind information we use and find on the internet. In my research, I have found a lot of information that contradicts one another and people who tried to scam others by deliberately posting fake information to mislead other people. I had to be careful with how I phrase and ask questions as I should not be bias or racist when I am doing anything. I learned that journalist do not have an easy time and that they have strived very hard to provide quality information about an event.

I have learnt that we should always speak at an average speed when we are in the midst of the newscasting because some "slower" people might not catch what the newscaster is trying to say if the newscaster speaks too fast. I have also learnt that we should hold the microphone close to our mouth when we are speaking because if we hold it too far, we will sound very soft and people would not hear us clearly. I have also learnt to cooperate with my team mates because we have really tried very hard to synchronise everything and not to mix the timings up, to make this newscast a good one. Though it is not a perfect newscast, I'm already contented because I know that we have tried our best in this newscast.

  29. I've learnt to express myself and present my ideas in a more confident way. Most importantly, I've learnt about the reliability of the informations we got on the internet when we researched on the things we are newscasting and whether listeners believe in what we are telling and providing them, if there is a false information we gave, there might be misunderstandings and mislead in informations. I've learnt that being a journalist is not an easy job as what i thought too. There are many aspects of quality or rules journalist got to adhere to when writing a news report. I've lastly learnt not to believe everything that i see on the net or anywhere or in any forms as they might not be true facts and reliable informations, the very last thing that i've learnt is not to trust too much on wikipedia.

  30. i have learnt the skill of delivering the news to the people watching the news. i learnt that when we are reporting a news or interviewing a person, we should not talk too fast or too slow, as people who are watching the news may not catch what you are saying. scripts are also very important. if the reporter does not prepare a proper script, the news may be ruin. even if a newscaster have a very good script but he/she did not speak confidently, the outcome may not be very good.

  32. I have learnt, from the media literacy module, that newscasting is actually not as simple as it seems. We should speak at a suitable speed so that the viewers can hear what we are saying clearly. We ought be well prepared like having a proper piece of script so that things wouldn't go wrong while in the midst of newscasting. The newscastor should be confident when speaking and not stutter so that people can understand well. The tone of speech should not be too boring so that the viewers would not lose interest when watching.
